Privacy Policy

About this policy

I’m Daniel, the operator of Daniel’s Lawn Mowing. This policy explains how I handle personal information when you use danielslawnmowing.com.au or enquire about lawn and garden services in Camden, Campbelltown and nearby suburbs. Last updated: 1 October 2026.

Information I collect

The quote form collects your first and last name, email address, phone number and property address. You can also provide requested services, approximate lawn sizes, job details and photos of the areas you would like serviced. Please avoid including people, identification documents or unrelated personal information in photos. The website processes technical information needed to operate and protect the site, such as browser and connection information. SureCookie records cookie preferences and consent choices.

How I use your information

I use enquiry information to assess the job, prepare and review estimates, contact you about your request, arrange services and keep relevant business records. The preliminary mowing estimate uses the lawn sizes you select. I review photos and job details before confirming a quote. If essential contact or address details are missing, I may not be able to provide a quote or arrange the work. Photo marketing permission is separate and optional.

Website and communication providers

Your enquiry is stored in the website’s Forminator form system and sent to my business email account, including uploaded photo attachments. I use Hostinger for website hosting and my domain mailbox, Microsoft Outlook for receiving business enquiries, and SMTP2GO to deliver website emails. Forminator and SureCookie run on the website. ClickSend processes your phone number and the acknowledgement message to send an SMS confirming receipt of your quote request. This SMS notification does not include your uploaded photos or property address. No separate cloud-storage service is used. These providers process information to operate the website and deliver communications. I do not sell your personal information. I may disclose information where required by law.

Overseas processing

Hostinger and Microsoft operate internationally, so information may be processed outside Australia. Microsoft states that information may be stored or processed in your region, the United States and other countries where its providers operate. SMTP2GO and ClickSend may also process information through overseas infrastructure or service providers. The exact locations used for this website, mailboxes and message delivery have not been confirmed. See Hostinger’s privacy policy and Microsoft’s privacy statement for their current handling practices. See also SMTP2GO’s privacy policy and ClickSend’s privacy policy. Selected marketing photos published on social media are also processed by that platform and can be seen by its audience.

Cookies and your choices

The website uses SureCookie to display cookie choices and record consent preferences. You can review the categories in the cookie preferences panel and change your choices. Browser settings also allow you to manage cookies; blocking essential cookies may affect website features.

Retention and deletion

For enquiries that do not result in a job, I delete personal details 90 days after the last contact, unless they are needed to resolve an outstanding matter or meet a legal obligation. For completed jobs, I retain necessary quote, invoice and payment records for applicable business-record requirements—generally at least five years for tax records, and longer where legally required. This does not mean retaining all enquiry photos for that period.

Photo retention

Photos without marketing permission are deleted after review, including website uploads, email attachments and downloaded copies. Marketing photos are reviewed annually and deleted after two years unless permission is renewed. I keep the consent date, the wording agreed to and the associated submission or other consent evidence with retained marketing photos. This routine is manual; automatic photo deletion has not been configured.

Backups and security

Information is held in the website and business mailbox and any copies needed to handle the job. I limit access to information to what is needed to operate the business. Provider backups or recovery systems may retain residual copies temporarily; their exact expiry periods have not been confirmed, so immediate removal from every backup cannot be guaranteed. Deleted information must not be brought back into active use when restoring a backup. No separate cloud-storage or backup service is used by me.

Photo marketing permission

The quote form includes an optional, unticked photo marketing permission checkbox. If you do not tick it, I do not use your uploaded photos or photos I take after completing the job for marketing. If you tick it, I may use selected uploaded photos and photos I take after completing the job for marketing, including on my website and social media. I focus on the gardening work and crop or obscure mailboxes, house numbers and other identifying details where possible. Giving permission is not required to request a quote or receive services. Permission is not applied retrospectively to photos outside the wording you agreed to.

Withdrawing photo permission

To withdraw permission for future use, call 0404 187 216. I will stop future marketing use and remove copies I control from my website and social media where practicable. Copies already shared or downloaded by others may be outside my control. I keep only the evidence needed to record the permission and its withdrawal or meet legal obligations.

Access, corrections and privacy concerns

For a privacy question, concern, or request to access, correct or delete information, contact me on 0404 187 216 or at danielslawnmowing@outlook.com, Monday–Friday, 9am–3pm (Sydney time). I may ask for enough information to verify that the request relates to you, and will explain if information must be retained for legal or business-record reasons. I will review concerns and respond as soon as practicable. If you remain dissatisfied, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner can explain complaint options and whether it can handle your complaint.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy when the website or business practices change. The current version and update date will be published on this page.
